Eureka! - 'Re-designing Intellectual Thoughts'/Innovative design product competition.

Great ideas results in to great understandings which pave the way for glaring success. In order to facilitate the vision Eureka! Provides a chance to work on the implementation of the most innovative ideas and products. Through this opportunities, students are able to develop and hone their creativity skills as well as appreciate the value of team work and cooperation. This competition plays an important role in motivating the future Engineering graduates to take up more challenging and competitive products.

Objective

It is an endeavor to foster and enhance the culture of scientific inquiry and its relevance in real world applications and underline the strong connection among student community. Best products will be rewarded based on the regulations given below

Regulations for selection of products

  • The Product can be in any field / area.

  • Participants should mail their Abstract / Proposal preferably in '.doc' / '.pdf' format to eureka@psgkriya.in

  • Participants should mention, if they have a picture / a prototype / model, readily available, at the beginning of their abstracts

  • A brief idea of how the design could be presented during the exhibition should also be included in the abstract.

  • All abstracts will be shortlisted by the committee and the selected abstracts /participants will be informed via email as per the given schedule.

  • The shortlisted products will be presented infront of judges.

  • Selected participants have to confirm their participation and send the details of the product to the email ID eureka@psgkriya.in in the following format.

  • The document name should be the "Title of the Product".

  • The first page should contain the following details:

  • Title of the Product.

  • Names of the participant and their respective college / university with contact number and email ID.

  • The last sheet may have a list of references - websites, books, journals, and so on which provides ample support to the development of their Project.

General Rules and Guidelines for competition

  • Maximum of 3 students can represent a product.

  • Each student shall exhibit only one product.

  • Member should have valid student ID card of their college / University.

  • The competition is open for both PG and UG Engineering students.

  • The student should have a formal approval from his / her college authority.

  • At least one team member shall ensure his/ her presence during the expo.

  • More than one team from a college can participate in the competition.

Regulation for competition and display of product

  • Student taking part in EUREKA should follow the rules mentioned below.

  • Posters regarding the product is a must to display the product at the expo.

  • Participants must exhibit their product as per the slot given to them during the days of KRIYA 2020 - 21st and 22nd February.

  • Teams shall set up their product in the space allotted to them for exhibiting and judging.

  • A detailed report in support of the design and highlighting the important aspects will be considered for judging.

Important note

  • All selected participants will receive participation certificate.

  • Main events will be held on 21st & 22nd of February, where selected products will be displayed by the participants

  • Basic requirements such as electric power supply will be made available to participants as per the requirement of their product.

  • Participants should bring all their requirements, if anything is required it should be specified along with the abstract.

  • The decision of the judges shall be treated as final.

  • Cash prizes will be given accordingly.

  • Shortlisted teams has to pay the KRIYA general registration fee for participating in EUREKA

Judging

Key Evaluation criteria would be

  • Innovation

  • Design (compactness and the efficiency of work done)

  • Efficiency (Performance of said task)

  • Relevance with practical need.

Dates to remember

  • Last Date for submission of product proposal/Abstract - 07 Feb 2020.(Note:Along with the abstract, you must send the kriya ID(s) of your team.)

  • Intimation of selection - 10 Feb 2020.

  • Date of Competition / Conference - 21st & 22nd Feb 2020.
